Hello. As with everyone in this new normal, the past few weeks have been daunting for OCEAN and planning for the CONNECT Conference. Due to this new normal, a gubernatorial ban on gatherings, and imposing pandemic, we were obligated to postpone the conference and worked with the facility to move it to December. Since that announcement, we have been working diligently to draft new agreements to accommodate the change. Due to the cacophony of variables we are all currently presented with, we are unable to find adequate certainty to obtain terms that would allow us to proceed with the conference. In the interest of our organization, the presenters, attendees, sponsors, partners, and the facility, we believe it best to cancel CONNECT for 2020.
All conference registrants will receive a FULL refund of registration costs effective immediately. We will also be returning administrative fees assessed to those of you who’ve already canceled. For those of you who paid through Eventbrite, you should expect your refunds promptly. For those who paid via check, OCEAN will issue your full payments in kind within the coming weeks. Your patience is greatly appreciated as we work through these processes.
We very much appreciate your participation, questions, comments, and suggestions throughout the development of this conference.
